Fire In You

Bangkitkanlah api di dalam dirimu Fire of purity, Fire of power, Fire of liberation. Fire of purity, comes by sila, Fire of power, comes by samadhi, Fire of liberation, comes by panna.

Tapi ... ternyata ... Jadi selanjutnya, Pay much attention to yourself, And you'll find that liberating wisdom Just inside.

A Positive State of Mind

The world is like a mirror. If you think negatively to it, Then you will act negatively to it, And so it will react negatively to you. If you think positively to it, Then you will act positively to it, And so the world will be kind to you too.

A Very Effective Remedy

If you suffer from ill health or disease, and if you have no other remedy to alleviate the pain and suffering, the meditational practice upon the suffering of illness can give at least some relief if it cannot give you a complete cure. If the pain and suffering remain in your body, the meditational practice can render relief to your mind. But if you are angry or irritated by the physical suffering, your mind will suffer, too. The Buddha compared this dual suffering to being pierced by two thorns at the same time.

Let us say a man has a thorn in his flesh, and he tries to extract the thorn by piercing another thorn into his flesh. The second thorn breaks into the flesh without being able to extract the first thorn. Then the man suffers the pain from two thorns at the same time. So also, the person who cannot make a note of the physical pain in a meditational manner suffers both physical and mental pain. But if he can ponder well upon the physical pain, he will suffer only that pain, and will not suffer mental pain.

This kind of suffering — only physical pain — is like that suffered by the Buddha and arahants, for they, too, suffer physical pain. They suffer from ill-effects of heat and cold, insect bites, and other kinds of discomfort. Though they suffer from the physical dukkha, their minds remain stable, so they do not suffer mental pain. The meditational method is a very effective remedy for physical pain and suffering.

Hmm...

Waktu berjalan, perlahan namun pasti.

To Move Forward

With blessing one can build good karma with all others. With wisdom one can lead the public. Blessing and wisdom resemble our both legs which enable us to move forward steadily.

Make the Best on What ?

Baru aja kehilangan, that makes me think, biasanya kan kita menginginkan membuat sesuatu yang terbaik. Tapi, untuk apa ? Bila akhirnya hal-hal tersebut akan hilang.

Tapi lalu ingat Nidhi Kadha Sutta, dikatakan, harta duniawi, rapuh sekali, mudah hilang.

The Thinking That Makes Hard

And I always remember one monk coming up to me and saying, ‘It’s pushing the wheelbarrow is easy, it’s the thinking about it which is hard.’ And that’s changed the whole perspective of what I was doing. As soon as I stopped complaining and moaning, it was easy to push that wheelbarrow, in fact it felt much lighter. And this is actually how I learned about the secrets, one of the secrets, of monastic life. Didn’t matter what you were doing, whether you were sitting for hours and hours and hours in your hut, whether you were working building a monastery, there’s a thinking about it which made it hard.

So..., jangan atasi hal yang salah !!

So, at the moment we stop thinking it's hard, at the moment also the work became easy. Why ? Because what makes it hard is the thinking itself. So stop complaining and worrying right now, and life an easy life !!

Practice and Potention

Everyone can run, but what makes an athlete ?
Just practice.

Everyone can meditate, but what makes a meditator ?
Just practice too.
